About Us
Musik
FUNdamentals
is an early
childhood music and movement program provided by Becky Douglas, who has been
licensed as an educator by Kindermusik International since 1999. A vocalist
and pianist, Becky has been sharing her talent in churches, community music
groups and amateur theater for 35 years. She studied music at Illinois
Wesleyan University from which she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She
currently directs the Children's Music Ministry at Wayne United Methodist
Church.
Becky
has been bringing music, movement and the love of singing into the lives of
children for the past 10 years. At
Musik
FUNdamentals
she
teaches age-appropriate Kindermusik classes for children from 6 months through
8 years of age. She also teaches Music Makers at the Keyboard, an
introduction to the keyboard that uses an aural approach in a classroom
setting.
For Your Child
In
Musik
FUNdamentals
classes, your child will grow and learn
without pressure to perform, only encouragement to explore and discover. You
will witness development of the whole child ...
For Yourself
Life is busy,
and family time together is a precious thing. A Musik
FUNdamentals
class is truly the essence of “quality time”, offering you a place to create
special memories with your child and gain new insights into your child’s
development.
With every class, you will receive home materials
of the highest quality – CDs of the songs we sing in class, and activities for
you and your child to do at home. The whole family will delight in these
activities, as well as the story books and specially-designed instruments –
all created to complement our class time and extend your child’s learning at
home.
For Life
Invest in your child’s future by making early
music exposure a priority. Research supports the fact that music helps
prepare the mind for specific disciplines of learning, including math,
science, and language. Our
Musik FUNdamentals
classes will create magical, musical
memories for your children that they will carry with them for life.
