Music Programs

The concept of Music Makers at the Keyboard  is based on an aural approach to music literacy that provides a natural pathway to music reading.  This course offers joyful opportunities for building keyboard skills, along with singing, dancing, drumming, ensemble playing, as well as writing and reading music.  Parents join the class for the last 15 minutes to share in class activities and in the discussion of homework and practice assignments.   This class is a four-level (2-year) program.  Home study and practice are facilitated by a CD of songs and exercises, a book of written assignments to do in class and at home, and helpful hints for the parents. 

 

Ages:  6 to 8 years old

Class Length:  75 minutes

No. of Sessions: 15 per semester

Cost:  $300 (includes home materials)
